History of Al Madina Mosque Barking
Al Madina Masjid today comprises 2 large prayer halls holding approximately 4500 people with dedicated prayer space allocated for approximately 500 female patrons. With overflow access to newly completed community halls the overall prayer space available is for 6500 worshippers. The Masjid caters for all the major events of the Islamic calendar. The Masjid is a recognizable landmark within the borough of Barking and Dagenham and borders the borough of Redbridge, hence serving cross borough communities encompassing diverse and rich histories and home to large and diverse Muslim and Non Muslim communities.;
