Al Madina Mosque is proud to be duly sanctioned according to the law, for the Solemnisation of Marriages in the UK. Our Registrars would be honoured to conduct the joining in matrimony of respective couples and be a part of your special day.

In order to book a Civil Registration you will need to make an appointment to give notice at your local register office. If you are a relevant national you must give at least 28 full days notice at your local register office. You can give notice up to one year before the date of the planned marriage ceremony.

Your notice is publicly displayed in the register office for 28 days before the marriage authority (the legal documents which permit you to marry) is issued. This is usually 29 days after the notice appointment.

If you don’t live in Barking & Dagenham, but wish to get married at Al Madina, you must give notice to the local authority for the area you live in instead.
