In line with the Care Act 2014, the local authority must provide or arrange for the provision of services that promote wellbeing, contribute towards preventing, delaying or reducing the needs for care and support in individuals and meet the needs for care and support of adults who meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Act.

One of the most important service areas that the local authority commissions to meet these Care Act 2014 responsibilities is domiciliary care, or homecare.

Homecare is a service that provides paid, professional care and support to people in their own homes to help them to continue living their daily lives.

Al Madina Mosque has set up a service called Square Circle Care Services (SCCS) which will form the platform for employing, training and providing domiciliary care in the community.

The aim and objectives of Square Circle Care Services will be to provide high quality care provision for residents of the borough by utilising the skills which already exist in the communities.
